We command you that you take Stephen Howison late of Washington County, if he shall be found within the County of Washington in your said District, and him safely keep, so that you have his body before the Circuit Court of the District of Columbia, to be held for the County aforesaid, at the City of Washington, on the third Monday of January next, to answer unto the Petition of Freedom of George Gray
Hereof fail not at your peril, and have you then and there this writ.
