<p>It is agreed in this case that Winifred the mother of all the Petitioners except Alice was the slave of Susan Merryman in St Marys County Maryd. That the said Susanna made her last will as follows [<gap extent="one word" reason="illegible"/> the same] That Thomas Booth married Ann Merryman named in the said will, <del>went into possession</del> by his said marriage became possessed <del>of</del> of said Winifred with the other property of said Ann. That all the Petitioners except Alice were born <del>after the said marriage</del> in the life time of said Thomas Booth. That said Booth made his will as follows [<gap extent="one word" reason="illegible"/> the same] His wife survived him and executed the deed of manumission under which petitioners claim. That Alice was the individual property of Thomas Booth</p>
