<p>You are hereby commanded to summon Gilbert Docker if he shall be found within the County of Washington, that all excuses &amp; delays set aside, he be and appear before the Circuit Court of the District of Columbia to held for the County of Washington at the City of Washington on the first Monday of June next, to answer the Petition of Henrietta (commonly called Henny) Henry (commonly called Harry) and Stephen their Brother for their freedom, against the said Docker.</p>
    
<p>Hereof fail not at your peril &amp; have you then and there this writ.</p>
    
<p>Witness the hon: Wm Cranch Chief Judge of our said Court, the 4th day of Febry in the year 1809.</p>
