To the Honorable the Circuit Court of the District of Columbia for the County of Washington

You are hereby commanded to summon Sarah E Linton if she shall be found in the County of Washington, that she be and appear in the Circuit Court of the District of Columbia, at rules to be held for the County of Washington, at the City of Washington, on the first fourth Monday of Novr next, to answer to bill of complaint of the petition of freedom of Sally Cross filed in Court here against her and others.

Hereof fail not at your peril; and have you then and there this precept.

Witness the Hon. W. Cranch, Chief Judge of the said Court.

Issued the 23d day of August 1843.
