<p>The Petition of Sally Cross a coloured person humbly complaining sheweth unto the said Honorable Court that your Petitioner is entitled to her freedom and is unjustly held in bondage by Sarah E Linton who claim your Petitioner as her slave Wherefore your Petitioner prays the said Honourable Court to grant a subpoena to the said Sarah E Linton directed and such relief in the premises as may be according to Law</p>
