<p>The petition of Mimy Calvert a coloured woman humbly sheweth unto the said Honorable Court that your petitioner is entitled to her freedom and is unjustly held in bondage by Ann French, who claims your petitioner as her slave, wherefore your petitioner prays the said Honorable Court to grant a subpoena directed to the said Ann French and such other relief in the premises as may be according to Law.</p>
