Know all men by these presents, that we Samuel McPherson and James Williams all of the County of Washington and District of Columbia are held and firmly bound unto the United States, in the full and Just Sum of Six Hundred dollars Current money, to be paid to the Said United States or their attorney, or assigns, to which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves, and each of us, our, and each of our heirs, executors and administratives Jointly and Severally, firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals and dated this twenty fourth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty one.

Whereas Negro woman Kitty hath obtained an injunction against the sad Samuel McPherson, enjoining him from removing or causeing, or permitting the said Kitty to be Sold out of the District of Columbia, or removed therefrom.

Now the Condition of the above obligation is Such that if the Said Samuel McPherson shall not sell or remove or cause or permit the Said Kitty to be Sold out of the District of Columbia or removed therefrom then this obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue in Law.
