<p>You are hereby commanded to summon George Miller Jr if he shall be found in the county of Washington, that (all excuses set aside) he be and appear before the Circuit Court of the District of Columbia, to be held for the county of Washington, in the city of Washington, on the first Monday of December next, to <del>testify on the part of</del> answer the petition for freedom of Anne Williams for herself and her children Ann Maria, Tobais &amp; John, filed in said Court against him.</p>

<p>Hereof fail not, at your peril; and have you then and there this precept.</p>

<p>Witness William Cranch, Esquire, chief Judge of the said Court.</p>

<p>Issued the 31st day of August 1830.</p>
